1887 Vintage Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, serial number 244188B. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, hammer, buttplate, and forearm cap. 24" octagon barrel with full-length magazine tube. Sheard front and standard buckhorn rear sights. Chambered in .38-40 WCF caliber. Plain varnished walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Excellent with approximately 93% bright original blue on the barrel. A couple of areas of blue loss to bright metal on the barrel. Approximately 80-85% bright original case color remaining. Wood is excellent showing light wear. Bore is bright and clean. Action is tight and crisp. MKS
