Hard to find, correct Springfield M1 Garand made at Springfield Armory in October of 1942. "SA" marked barrel dated "8-44" with correct World War II front sight and correct rear lockbar sight. Correct "SA" marked uncut op-rod and "SA" marked bolt. World War II style milled trigger guard with all "SA" marked parts. Walnut stock with "SA EMcF" proof with "(Crossed Cannons)". Proof is for Brigadier General Earl McFarland who was the inspector at Springfield Armory from 1942 to 1943. Stock also has early style "P" in circle proof with serifs. Comes with early style oiler and and cleaning tool marked "PK" for Parker Mfg. Company. All draw numbers seem to be correct for a World War II rifle. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% plus of original arsenal finish with traces of grease in the barrel. Stock has 90% original finish with some light handling marks and sharp cartouches. Bore has TE of 2 and ME of 2 with great mechanics. A super World War II vintage Garand in great condition. DLM
