Super condition early .410 L.C. Smith Field Grade side by side shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company, Fulton, New York in the second year of production of the .410 in 1927. One of 2,509 produced, with one of 1,429 made with 26" barrels and one of 521 with ejectors. Blued Armor Steel barrels with raised matted rib, ejectors, bead front sight, Hunter Arms Address, L.C Smith Field Grade on top of breech. Casehardened sidelock featherweight receiver with double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate and grip cap. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with banjo style roller latch release. CONDITION: 98% fading barrel blue with 98% vivid case colors and perfect screws. 98% original varnish with storage dings and marks and some crazing near trigger guard from storage in a hot attic. Perfect bores with engine turn visible on bores with sticky opening lever from years of storage. Gun is very close to appearing to have never been fired. A great little Smith! DLM
