Winchester Model 42 slide action shotgun with box. Made 1946 (per Proofhouse database). Standard markings on the barrel. Matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel assembly. Round, steel barrel with bead front sight. Original blued finish on the metal components. Walnut stock and ribbed forearm, retaining their original light oil finish. Original black checkered plastic buttplate as well. Full choke bore, 3" chamber. Complete in its original serial matching cardboard box. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few handling marks. All metal components look to be preserved in factory grease. Wood is pristine. Bore is shiny. Gun does not look to have been assembled nor fired post factory. Box has some edge wear but is excellent overall. A truly great untouched find! JWA
