Lot consists of: (A) Professionally framed "U.S. MARINES - SOLDIERS OF THE SEA" by Leyendecker. Poster features two enlisted Marines in dress blue uniforms, one at port arms with his 1903 Springfield rifle, and the other blowing a bugle. They are standing in front of a large EGA emblem on a podium Both side of poster have vignettes of life as a Marine and show duty aboard ships, athletics, marksmanship, etc. Measures: 41" x 31." (B) Professionally framed "U.S. MARINES - SOLDIERS OF THE SEA" Recruiting station New Haven, Conn. Poster features Marine landing party in pre-WW1 tropical uniforms charging to their objective past palm trees with a U.S. Navy battleship in the distance. Measures: 41" x 31." CONDITION: Both posters have nice colors and only the one with the Marines standing shows signs of slight stabilization mostly near the top and bottom edges. BRM.
Condition: EXCELLENT.
