Pre-war German Vierling 4-barrel combination gun made in Germany by unknown gunsmith. Blued Krupp Lauf Stahl barrels with nitro proofs, raised matted rib, ramped front blade sight, 2 rear flip sights with 1 plugged with Marbles plug, and later added matted lever-type scope base. Barrels have extractors and line engraved bores. Shotgun barrels have unusual 1/2" bands 3" from muzzle. Gun has .22 Hornet barrel on top of side by side 16 gauge shotgun barrels over an 8x57JR rifle barrel. Case hardened vignette pattern full coverage scalloped boxlock action with unique Greener style crossbolt, tang rifle/shotgun selector marked "K" for Kugel and "S" for Schrot. Gun has unique lever safety on left, double triggers which are both sets, and horn trigger guard. European walnut checkered horn capped pistol grip stock with Roman nose comb, added rubber recoil pad, cheekpiece, and checkered side panels. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 95% barrel blue with 50% fading case colors. 95% original hand-rubbed finish with stock cut and pad added. Excellent bores and mechanics. A really fine made Vierling. DLM
