1892 Vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 141123. Desirable 7 - 1/2" barrel, blue with case hardened blackpowder frame and hammer. Chambered in .45 LC. fire blue screws. 2-piece checkered hard rubber grips with Eagle and Rampant Colt motifs. Accompanying Colt archival letter dated April 2, 1996, signed by Kathleen J. Hoyt, Historian. Letter documents configuration and shipment to Powell & Clement, Cincinnati, Ohio on April 8, 1892 in shipment of 20 guns of the same type. Interestingly the letter further states Factory Engraved. CONDITION: Excellent plus with 92-95% bright original blue and a generous amount of original bright case color. Very minor areas of blue freckling on barrel that has turned a pleasing blue-brown patina. Grips show minimum wear. Beautiful un-molested screws. Bright clean bore. Crisp, tight action. A most attractive blackpowder single action in a desirable configuration. MKS
