Rare German double rifle drilling with side by side rifle over a shotgun made by G.L. Rasch in Braunschweig, Germany circa 1930. Blued Krupp steel barrels with matted rib, blade front sight, fixed rear notch sight with leaf flip up, extractors, and gold bands around rear of barrels. Hammerless coin finish heavy chisel engraved frame with floral and game scene images with gold coating on several of the floral areas on each side of the action. Left side of action has banner with "BRAUNSCHWEIG" on it. Right side has G.L. Rasch in a banner on right side of action. Gold washing on barrel lugs and tang and floorplate. Floorplate has release button in front of horn trigger guard. Both triggers set with action having Greener style crossbolt and Greener style safety with the word "SICHER" in gold. Tang rifle selector with words "KUGEL" and "SCHROT" in gold. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and steel woven pattern buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with Deeley release. CONDITION: 95% fading blue with edge wear with blue fading to plum. Sharp engraving on action with gold not wearing off. Wood has been lightly cleaned with some light scratches and dings. Excellent bores and mechanics. A great artistic and rare combination. DLM
