Interesting .30-06 K98 type bolt action rifle with a receiver made by "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A/M", and a barrel marked "J.P. Sauer & Son, SUHL, GERMANY". Rifle has functioning set triggers. Serial number is "255344", and bolt components retain old military serial numbers of "x101" and "01". Blued matted barrel is also marked "30. U.S.G. 1906 MOD. MAUSER". Barrel has a dual leaf rear sight, and a single blade front sight. A Lyman target sight is mounted to the receiver. Sling swivels are attached to stock and barrel. Blued steel butt plate has a trapdoor. Fine quality walnut stock has checkered grip and forearm, with a carved panel on each side. CONDITION: Overall excellent. Rifle retains 85-90% of its blued finish, with approximately 35% of the case hardening remaining on the bolt. Wood stock has no noticeable wear or damage. Bore is bright, set triggers function properly, and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
