Model 1914 manufactured at the Kongsberg Arsenal in Norway in 1923. The left side of the slide is stamped "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 = No 4110" below 2 Norwegian proofs, with the right side being stamped "1923" over an additional Norwegian proof. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger, slide stop, slide safety, grip safety, mainspring housing, frame, slide, firing pin stop, firing pin, barrel bushing, slide, recoil spring plug, recoil spring guide, as well as the barrel. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some scattered handling marks as well as some areas of wear showing through to gray and brown patinas. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show areas of smoothing, a few impressions, as well as a few scattered handling marks, but are otherwise fine. With only approximately 32,000 Model 1914s being produced at Norway's Kongsberg Arsenal between 1918-1947, this makes for a nice example of a rare and desirable early production Model 1914 semi-automatic pistol.
