Ithaca 1911A1 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1943 in the first serial block Ithaca was designated. Crossed cannons stamp behind the right grip. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked over the serial number on the right side of the frame, in addition to "M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY". Left side of the slide has the standard company address. "FJA" inspectors cartouche on the left side of the slide, in addition to a "P" firing proof. Barrel is unmarked minus a "P" firing proof on the left leg. Blade front sight with u-notch rear. Original parkerized finish in the metal components. Checkered brown Keyes fibre grips. Includes 1 unmarked blued steel magazine, CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips have light wear. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. JWA
