3rd generation Colt Custom Shop Single Action Army, "Engraving Sampler" exceedingly rare "Storekeeper" Model, serial number SA70543. Blue with case hardened frame. 4 inch barrel without ejector rod housing. Chambered in .45 LC. Barrel marked left side "Colt Storekeeper Model" and right side "Colt S.A.A. 45 Cal". Revolver features four classic styles of hand engraving in the tradition of Henshaw, Nimschke, Helfricht, and contemporary patterns. Two piece ivory grips with Colt 150 anniversary medallions. Grips are scrimshawed with names of engraving masters. Backstrap engraved with Rampant Colt and marked in script "Colt Engraving Sampler". Accompanying Colt Archival Letter dated April 27, 1992, signed by M.S. Huber, Historian Emeritus. documents configuration and engraving. Letter further documents this revolver is the one built in this particular configuration. Engraving is the work Colt Engraver Denise Thirion. Missing the box and paperwork. CONDITION: Like new with virtually all the bright original factory blue and case colors remaining. Appears unfired. MKS
