Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1918. "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" marked on the right side of the slide. Standard 2-line patent dates, rampant Colt pony, and company address on the left side of the slide. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" retained on the left side of the slide. "(Eagle head) / S11" proof on the left side of the frame above the magazine release. "P" and "H" stamped on the top of the barrel. Blade front sight with U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original diamond checkered wood grips. Risdon 2-tone blued steel magazine marked "R" on the lip. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear. Grips are excellent as well. Bore is lightly frosted, with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
