Colt M1911A1 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1943. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked above the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" marked on the right side of the frame. Crossed cannons arsenal stamp behind the right grip panel. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. "GHD" inspectors initials on the left side of the frame. Standard 2-line company address and patent dates on the right side of the slide. "P" proofs on the top of the slide and the left barrel leg. Blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory parkerized finish on the metal components. Brown checkered Keyes fiber grips. Includes a parkerized unmarked magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% or more of its original finish with a few scuffs and scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore is sharp with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
