Remington Model 81 semi automatic rifle. Made 1948. 2 line company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. Standard markings on the left side of the receiver. "35 REM" marked on the barrel leg. Blade front sight with buck horn style u-notch rear. There is also a proper tang sight, mounted on the heel of the receiver. Added non-factory sling swivels. Stock and forearm were lightly sanded and refinished. Checkered metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks and wear. Stock has been refinished with a few dings and scratches with forearm having a small corner repair. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
