Marlin Model 336SC lever action rifle in .35 Remington. Made 1951. Standard 2 line company address/model markings on the left side of the barrel. "JM" stamp on the right side of the chamber. Ramped blade front sight and rear u-notch tangent. 4 holes drilled in the top of the frame for a scope mount. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Williams hammer extension on the hammer. Wood stock and forearm have a varnished finish. Checkered plastic butt plate and metal sling studs present. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear. Some brown patina is starting to form on the barrel. Wood has been cut to 13" with original Marlin buttplate reapplied. Stock has added coat of finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
