Made 1905. Rock Island Arsenal marked barrel dated "10-18" under an ordnance flaming bomb. Standard markings on the receiver. "1D" and "A" marked on the left side of the stock. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist of the stock. Blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2,000 yards. Metal components have been reblued at some point. Finger groove, straight grip stock has an aftermarket lacquered finish. Smooth metal butt plate with a trapdoor. CONDITON: Metal retains 70% of its reapplied finish with some light wear and a few areas of minor surface rust. Stock has handling marks, dents and scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
