Winchester Model 1885 Highwall made by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1902. 30" blued Winchester No. 3 weight octagon barrel with globe front sight and missing rear sight with open dovetail, marked on top barrel flat with 2 line Winchester Address and caliber ".22 LONG R.". Blued flat spring pistol grip action with Schuetzen double set triggers and case hardened standard 2 trigger lever, fitted with Winchester graduated tang peep sight. Winchester checkered plain walnut pistol grip stock with Helm buttplate. Matching standard walnut checkered forearm with ebony inlay. Cody Research confirms all options and configuration and states gun was returned for repair on April 04, 1903. CONDITION: 70% original faded barrel blue with edge wear and wear on handling areas with some light surface corrosion. 80% original action blue with corner wear and light speckling. Wood has traces of original varnish with dark marks from cleaning gun after firing. Buttplate has faded to a brown patina. Good shootable bore with great mechanics. An honest old highwall. DLM
