Ballard Custom Schuetzen rifle in the white with action made by J. M. Marlin Company from 1880 to 1891. 36" octagon @ No. 3 weight rifled barrel of unknown make fitted with false muzzle with 7 land and grooved rifling in 45 caliber. "In the White" cleaned Ballard No. 6 double set trigger action with fancy Pope Style double set trigger finger lever. Fancy custom Dutch style stock with dish cheekpiece and Stevens Style brass buttplate. Custom unfinished forearm with single screw and ebony forearm inlay. CONDITION: Metal exhibits an "In The White" cleaned appearance with some slight discoloration. Buttstock has been partially finished with forearm needing finished. Excellent bore and mechanics. Good rifle needing finished. DLM
