Stevens Model 44 - 1/2 single shot rifle in .25 - 25 Stevens. Receiver is marked "044 1/2" with serial number "3061". Barrel is marked "25.25", and "J. STEVENS A. & T. CO." Blued barrel has fixed front sight which is adjusted for windage by tapping it. Two screws are drilled and tapped six inches from the barrel tip. Case hardened receiver, trigger guard, and butt plate. Walnut forearm and stock. A Lyman "438 FIELD" scope is mounted on the two Unertl bases. CONDITION: Overall excellent. Barrel retains approximately 85-90% of its finish, and receiver, trigger guard, and butt plate retains 75-80% of their case hardening. Wood exhibits only very light wear. Lyman scope is moderately cloudy and adjustments function properly. Bore is bright and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
