Remington Model 1917 bolt action rifle. Made early 1918. Barrel is Eddystone manufactured and is dated "6-18". Flaming Bomb proof on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Eddystone production safety and firing pin. Bolt handle and stock are marked "R", and the bayonet lug is "W" marked. Boxed "O.G.E.K." cartouche (Elmer Keith inspected) and a circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. "(Eagle's head)" proof on the wrist as well. Blade front sight with rear ladder adjustable to 1,800 yards. Military blued finish on the metal components. Stock has its original oil finish. Smooth metal butt plate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with light wear. Stock has a few dings and scratches. Bore is frosted with a few minor pits. Rifling is strong. Mechanically fine. JWA
