Remington Model 03-A3 bolt action rifle. Made August 1943. Proper Remington barrel dated "6-43" under a flaming ordnance bomb. Most parts look to be "R" marked for Remington. Stock is Remington production as well. "FJA" inspector marks on the left side of the stock. There is also a faint crossed cannons cartouche and rebuild stamp. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Blade front sight with adjustable rear. Factory parkerized finish on the metal components. Straight grip stock with no finger grooves. wood has a light oil finish, including the hand guard. Smooth metal butt plate with trap door. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with some wear. Wood has a few handling marks. Four groove bore is shiny with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
