An early American game gun Circa 1938 with 28" blued steel barrels with extractors and 2 - 3/4" chambers. Rib is filed and raised with brass front bead sight and rib extension. Barrels read "NEW ITHACA FIELD GRADE", "ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA, N.Y.". Barrel flats read "464904" for serial number and "2 3/4 CHAMBER", "+4","+4". Lump reads "FZ". Chokes are Modified & Cylinder. Case colored boxlock action with double triggers, checkered top lever, checkered safe slide and bolt locking mechanism. Gun is auto safe. Straight grain walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, grip cap and hard rubber serrated butt plate. Length of 15". Action with border scroll. Blacked trigger guard with light scroll on bow. Snap checkered splinter forend with ebony tip and blacked iron metal. CONDITION: Very good as from an earlier refinish. Barrels are good with bright bores. Action and triggers are sound. Stock and forend are good with strong checkering and some handling marks from age, storage and use. CP
