German combination over under rifle shotgun marked on rib "OSWALD NERKE CASARNACHE ERFURT" made in Germany prior to World War II. 26 -3/4" blued "Krupp Stahl" 16 gauge shotgun over 9.3X72R rifle barrel with "Voightlander" 4x "fencepost" reticle side claw mounted scope. Boxlock expanding double lug locking action with fine vignette engraving, double triggers with front being a set trigger, cocking indicators and top tang safety. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with ebony diamond inlays behind raised side panels. Walnut full coverage checkered forearm with latch release. Comes with European style bow sling swivels. CONDITION: 90% fading barrel blue with action turning a plum patina. Wood has been cleaned with checkering recut. Scope is turning a plum patina and needs a professional cleaning with lenses being cloudy. Excellent bore and mechanics. DLM
