Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt action rifle. Made 1918. Gun was rebarreled during World War II, with a High Standard barrel marked "HS / (Flaming Bomb) / 2-44". A few parts look to be marked "R" for Remington. Stock has a rack number "3518" on the right side. There are a few other letter stamps on the bottom of the stock. Standard blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2,700 yards. Components have an arsenal reapplied dark parkerized finish. Stock has a light oil finish, as does the hand guard. Checkered metal butt plate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its reapplied finish with some light wear and scratches. Wood has minor handling marks, dings and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
