Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 action built by Winchester in 1960 and customized by legendary gunsmith, Al Biesen of Spokane, Washington for William K. Dupont in 1963. Original Winchester barrel turned down and cut to 22" per Dupont's request and stamped "Al BIESEN GUNMAKER SPOKANE, WN" and marked "264 WIN MAGNUM" at breech and detachable sling swivel mounted on barrel and buttstock. Custom hard finish blued action with checkered bolt stop and bolt handle with bolt being jeweled and polished. Replaced blued detachable floorplate with "WILLIAM K DUPONT" in gold on the floorplate. Fine figured Circassian walnut Fleur-de-Lis pattern checkered pistol grip stock with Monte Carlo style butt, checkered steel grip cap, and Pachmayer Old English solid rubber pad and ebony forend cap. Comes with 10x Unertl Vulture scope in Tilden mounts. CONDITION: 80% original dark blue with hunting scrapes and dings with muzzle and floorplate wearing to a silvery patina. Stock shows 80% original high luster finish with heavy usage marks and dings. Excellent bore with sharp rifling and good mechanics. Scope has clear and usable optics with reticule being off center. Heavily used rifle with a lot of life left in it and made by one of the best. DLM
