Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 bolt action rifle built by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1955, customized by unknown excellent gunsmith for William K. Dupont in 1956. 22" customized Winchester Proofmarked tapered blued sightless, glass bedded barrel unmarked by gunsmith except for caliber marking of "300MAG". Blued Pre-64 Model 70 action with claw extractor, 3-position safety and hollow bolt handle with standard blued Winchester hinged floorplate engraved "WILLIAM K DUPONT/WILMINGTON, DELAWARE/1956". Action fitted with Redfield 1-piece base and 2-3/4X power Unertl Falcon scope. Fancy grained Monte Carlo skip-line checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forearm and grip cap, cheekpiece, quick detachable sling swivel bases, and Pachmayer White Line vented recoil pad. CONDITION: 80% barrel blue with areas of hunting and case wear. 90% action blue with bolt handle worn to silvery patina with some light pitting. Floorplate worn to a silvery brown from use. 90% varnish with excessive hunting marks and dings. Excellent bore and mechanics with optics being slightly cloudy and no crosshairs. DLM
