Rifle has original Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 action made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1948, customized by Al Biesen in Spokane, Washington for William K. Dupont in 1961. 24" blued tapered round custom barrel, magnaported muzzle with ramp front sight and notched quarter rib rear sight, marked "AL BIESEN GUNMAKER SPOKANE, WN" and caliber marking "458 WIN MAGNUM" at breech. Blued Pre-64 action with jeweled bolt with claw extractor with 3-position safety, custom bolt release, and hand checkered solid handle bolt handle with added recoil lug on underside of barrel. Custom blued quick detachable hinged floorplate with "WILLIAM K DUPONT" inlaid in gold by Al Biesen. Circassian walnut checkered with Fleur-de-Lis pattern pistol grip stock with straight comb and cheekpiece, NoShoc solid rubber recoil pad with ebony forend tip, Biesen checkered steel grip cap, and quick detachable sling swivel studs. Action mounted with Griffin & Howe rail sidemount with Ziess Diatal-Za 4X32 scope with standard crosshair. CONDITION: 40% barrel blue with balance fading to a silvery patina from hard use. 90% action finish with bolt handle worn silver and floorplate showing heavy carry wear. 90% original varnish with excessive usage dings and marks. Excellent bore and mechanics with clear optics. A beautifully made rifle. DLM
