Remington Model 40X bolt action magazine target rifle made by Remington Arms Company in 1957. 28" medium weight blued round tapered rifled barrel with Redfield Olympic front and rear sights. Barrel and action drilled for scope mounting and fitted with Lyman Scope bases. Blued sub-caliber action with blued solid floorplate. Walnut factory marksman style pistol grip stock with factory angled butt with factory white line thin rubber buttplate. Stock factory notched on comb for bolt relief. PROVENANCE: Consignor states this rifle originally belonged to William K. Dupont. CONDITION: 98% plus with light handling marks, appears to have been fired very little with bore looking like it's still full of factory cosmoline. A great 40X. DLM
