Smith & Wesson 357 Combat Magnum double action revolver. Pre-Model 19 gun, made 1955. "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side of the barrel, with the caliber on the right. Company monogram and address on the right side of the frame. 6-shot fluted cylinder. Matching serials on the butt, barrel, and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with ramped blade front sight adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Trigger guard has been cut out to imitate a Fitz special, with the hammer bobbed as well. Smooth finish wood grips with worn medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish. There is some freckling on the frame. Sights have been painted. Grips have wear and the bottoms are gouged. Bore is clean with sharp rifling. Good timing and lock up. Mechanically fine. JWA
