Smith & Wesson Model 51 double action revolver. Made 1959. "SMITH & WESSON" marked on the left side of the barrel, with the caliber marked on the right. Trade mark on the left side of the frame, below the cylinder release. Company address on the right side of the frame. Round pinned barrel with full rib. Ramped blade front sight with adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and spurred hammer. Checkered wood grips with "S&W" monograms. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish. There is a fair amount of finish loss on the muzzle. Sights are painted. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
