Ishapore Enfield No.1 MK III bolt action shotgun conversion. Made 1924 as a No.1 MK III rifle and later converted to fire a .410 brass shotgun round. Standard markings on the left side of the socket. Indian proofs on the chamber. Some rack numbers on the right side of the stock. No visible import mark. Matching serials on the receiver, barrel, rear sight and socket. Bolt, magazine and fore stock do notch match. Blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 2,000 meters. Original military blued finish on the metal components. Wood has a light oil finish. Brass butt plate with trapdoor. Stacking swivel is missing. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with some light wear and brown patina forming. Gun has a fair amount of cosmoline in the action. Stock has minor dings, scratches, and dents. There is a chip out of the left side of the front hand guard. Bore is shiny. Mechanically in operable as the trigger spring appears to be absent. JWA
