French MLE 1886 M93 Lebel bolt action rifle. Made at Tulle circa 1900. This rifle was later rebuilt circa 1920's. Tulle production barrel dated "1922" on the right side of the chamber. "N" marked barrel and chamber, indicating this rifle was updated to fire the new ball round. "PG" steel supplier and inspector proofs on the chamber. No import mark found. Matching serials on the barrel, fore-stock, butt stock, and floor plate (forced matched during arsenal rebuild). Bolt is mis-matched. Standard large blade front sight and rear ladder adjustable to 2400 meters. Arsenal re-applied blued finish on the metal components. Stock has a light oil finish. Includes some consignor research CONDITION: Metal retains 90% or more of its finish with general wear. Stock has minor dings, scratches and dents. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine.
