Remington Model 03-A3 bolt action rifle. Made June 1943. Barrel is correctly "RA" marked for Remington, over a "flaming bomb" and "6-43". Front band, bolt, sing swivels, stacking swivel and magazine cut off are all marked "R". Stamped trigger guard is Remington production. Stock cartouches are barely visible on the left side, but stock looks to be a Remington production. A boxed "O.G." cartouche is visible on the left side of the butt. "P" firing proof on the bottom of the wrist. Standard blade front sight and adjustable peep rear. Front sight has an un-marked protector on it. Metal retains its factory parkeized finish. Trigger guard and some of the bands look to have been re-parkerized. Stock was lightly sanded (looks to have been done at an arsenal). Checkered metal butt plate with trap door. Includes some consignor research. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its parkerized finished with light wear and handling marks. Stock has a few dings and scratches, but is very good overall. "two groove" bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
