Circa 1981. This Italian made 12 gauge sidelock shotgun is fit with 29 - 1/2" mono-bloc nitro proof blued steel barrels that are built with ejectors and 2 - 3/4" chambers. The barrels are choked Full (top) and Improved Modified (bottom). The ribs consist of a solid side rib and a cross cut ventilated top rib with a high visibility orange front sight and a brass middle bead. Left side of the top barrel reads "P. BERRETA - ITALY". The left side top barrel also reads "CAM.70", "*" and "18.4" while the left side of the bottom barrel reads "BOEHLER * ANTINIT STEEL", "**", "KG 1.530" and "18.4". Bottom of the bottom barrel reads "130-2". Bottom of the barrel's mono-bloc have "PB", "SO4" the serial number "C08441B" and Italian proof marks. The coin finish action with single inertia trigger is adorned with light scrolls, "P. Beretta" engraved in script on both lockplates, "APPEVETTATO ITALY" and "P. BERETTA GARDONE V.T." on the bottom of the action body and blued top lever with checkered thumbpiece that is also engraved with scrolls. The coin finish single inertia trigger with a stippled trigger blade is protected by a blued trigger guard with "TRAP" in a silver color and ending in a long bottom tang. The sidelock action incorporates a cross bolt third fastener. The safe slide is checkered with an engraved "S" on the tang directly above. The top tang also has the gun's serial number "C08441B". Gun is non-auto safe. The smoky Turkish walnut stock is furnished with 2 checkered panels, pistol hand grip and an orange ventilated rubber recoil pad. Competition forend similarly checkered with an engraved blue finish Deeley style lever release. The exterior metal of the forend is blued with light engraving and the interior metal is coin finish with jeweling and has the guns serial number. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels with approximately 85% blue with rub marks from forend. Action, ejectors, and trigger are sound and the barrels are tight. Stock and forend with handling marks. (CP)
