Circa 1905. A 12 bore case colored boxlock game gun with dovetail 30" blacked steel barrels is fit with ejectors, 2 - 1/2" chambers, tapered, flat top file cut rib with extension and small round brass bead. Rib reads "CHARLES BOSWELL . MAKER 126 STRAND . LONDON. W.C.". Barrel flats marked 2 - 1/2" with London proof of 1975. Chokes are cylinder and cylinder. Boxlock action with third fastener (rib extension), double triggers with auto-safe is engraved with tight scrolls and rose bouquet engraving. Fences with scrolls and wide leaves. Top lever with scrolls and thumb piece is checkered. Safe slide is engraved and checkered. "SAFE" is gold inlaid. New European walnut stock with fiery grain, 2-panel checkering, and finely checkered English straight grip has a vacant gold oval and finished by a horn serrated butt plate. Double triggers are protected by a fully scroll engraved, blacked trigger guard that extends to a long scroll engraved bottom strap with serial number "14941". Splinter forend with Anson styled release is finely checkered and has scroll engraved exterior iron metal. Interior iron metal is case colored and bares guns serial number. CONDITION: Good. Barrels are good with mostly all of a re-black. Muzzle tips with a slight bit of silvering. Bores are shiny. Boxlock action with bright new case colors is sound. Triggers and ejectors operate well. Stock is replacement and with repaired damage near top lever/tang on left. Forend is good with some handling marks. CP
