Desirable original with no indication of re-arsenal M1A1 semi-automatic Paratrooper Carbine made by Inland Division of General Motors between October 1942 and December 1943. Correct "INLAND MFG. DIV./ GENERAL MOTORS DIV" marked barrel dated 5-43 with "P" stamp on barrel. Milled "SI" marked front sight with correct "S" marked rear flip sight. Inland marked receiver with correct "IO" marked flat bolt, "PI" marked slide well with correct "INLAND" marked trigger group with all correct parts. Walnut Highwood stock with "P" in circle proof at rear and Fatboy grip with "IO" and "(Crossed Cannons)" on bottom. Correct brass riveted leather skeleton folding stock with correct marked cast steel buttplate. Correct walnut 2-rivet "IO" marked top wood. Comes with period green woven sling, "AI" marked flat bottom 15-round clip and original "Atlas Awning 1943" marked leg bag. CONDITION: 80% fading to silver original metal finish with traces of original wood finish with visible cartouches. Gun is in used but well taken care of condition with great bore having an ME reading of 1, and good mechanics. Canvas bag is in great condition and appears to be original. A great World War II Paratrooper Carbine. DLM
