Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 bolt action magazine rifle in desirable .22 HORNET caliber made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1951. Blued Standard Weight Winchester chrome molybdenum barrel with Winchester Address and "MODEL 70- 22 HORNET" barrel marking with hooded ramp front sight and rear flip-down sight (replaced sight should be 22 G). Matted finish action with special Hornet bolt and magazine with solid handle bolt electropenciled with "177590" which matches gun. Walnut low comb checkered pistol grip stock with blued steel checkered Widow's peek buttplate and blued quick detachable floorplate. A great hard-to-find gun. CONDITION: 95% original barrel blue. 95% original action finish with bolt handle having 98% blue. 95% original blue on buttplate and floorplate. 95% original varnish on stock with some storage marks and dings and some areas near toe with some scratches. Gun looks to have been fired very little with most damage coming from poor storage. Excellent bore and mechanics. DLM
