Single Action Army revolver chambered in .38 Special manufactured by Colt during the Second Generation SAA's first year of production. The left side of the barrel is stamped "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL", with Colt's single line address across the top. Left side of frame bears patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Features include a blued 7 - 1/2" barrel, blued trigger guard & grip straps, case colored frame, standard Single Action Army pattern front and rear sights, as well as 2-piece Colt checkered brown plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and grip straps, with matching assembly numbers present on the rear of the frame, loading gate, and cylinder. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory applied finishes, exhibiting some minor wear as well as some scattered handling marks showing through to silvering overall. Cylinder bears a fair sized area of loss as well as a drag line. Frame retains good case coloring, showing some fading and areas of light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show a few scattered handling marks as well as a few nicks to the diamonds, but otherwise are sturdy and serviceable. MLW
