Second Generation Single Action Army manufactured by Colt in 1960. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45", with the top bearing Colt's single line address. Right side of frame bears patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Features include a blued 5 - 1/2" barrel, blued trigger guard & grip straps, case colored frame, standard Single Action Army pattern front and rear sights, as well as 2-piece Colt checkered black plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, cylinder, and grip straps, with the grips matching via a hand-scribed number on the interior of the panels. Matching assembly numbers are present on the rear of the frame and loading gate. Revolver is accompanied by an original factory cardboard box that is matching via a hand-scribed number on the bottom and contains an original Colt manual pamphlet. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory applied finishes, exhibiting some wear on the left side of the muzzle as well as a few scattered handling marks overall. Frame retains vibrant case coloring, exhibiting a few minor marks from handling and storage. Cylinder bears a few drag lines and some light edge wear in several places. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips are excellent. Box shows separation of the corners on the lid, with a tear along the edge of the front lid panel. A very nice Second Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver that is accompanied by its original factory box. MLW
