Model 1908 semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Colt in 1937. Left side of slide bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer and patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with the right side being stamped "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS". Left side of frame bears the serial number and "VP" proof. Matching numbers are present on the frame and the slide. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Pistol is accompanied by an original factory box, which is hand-scribed to match on the bottom and contains an original hangtag. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting scattered handling marks overall as well as areas of wear that are mostly concentrated on the frame. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, nicks, and impressions to the diamonds, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Box is very good overall. MLW
