Third Generation Frontier Six Shooter single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1984. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER", with the top bearing Colt's single line address. Left side of frame bears patent information. Features include a nickel finish, 7 - 1/2" barrel, standard Single Action Army pattern front & rear sights, as well as 2-piece Colt silver medallion smooth wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the correct black powder frame, cylinder, and grip straps, with the left grip panel matching via a handwritten number in felt pen. The grip strap's former number "W2983" has been crossed at the factory, with the new number applied beside and under the former number. Revolver is accompanied by a custom unmarked case, as well as factory manual and paperwork. CONDITION: Metal components retain virtually all of their original factory applied nickel finish, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks overall. Cylinder bears no drag line. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show a few minor handling marks, but are otherwise fine. Factory display exhibits some exterior wear, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A very attract Third Generation Colt Frontier Six Shooter revolver that, paired with its custom case, would make for a fine display piece. MLW
