Cobra double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1967. The left side of the barrel is stamped "COBRA/ .38 SPECIAL CTG.", with the right side bearing Colt's 2-line address. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blued 2" barrel, alloy frame with black anodized finish, ramp front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Revolver is accompanied by an original Colt factory cardboard box, which is hand-scribed to match on the bottom. Ejector rod head is a nickeled replacement. Grips are hand-scribed to match the frame on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their blued and anodized finishes, showing some light edge wear as well as an area of scratches on the left side of the frame to the rear of the cylinder latch. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some nicks to the diamonds, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Box shows some light superficial handling marks, but is otherwise fine. MLW
