Lot consists of (A) Smith and Wesson model 36 38 Chief special revolver chambered in .38 Smith and Wesson Special with serial number 96J971. 3 screw blued J frame with 5 shot fluted cylinder. Case color hardened hammer with checkering and case color hardened ribbed trigger. Stampings on barrel include "SMITH & WESSON" on left side and "38 S.W. SPL." on right side. Left side of frame has the SW trade mark while the right side has "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.". Checkered wood stocks with SW monogram on both sides. Includes time period correct box. CONDITION: Excellent condition with almost all original bluing remaining. Very light handling marks throughout and small signs of oxidation on right side of frame. Stocks in excellent condition. Good bore and good mechanics. (B) Smith and Wesson model 36 38 Chief special revolver chambered in .38 Smith and Wesson Special with serial number 173859. 3 screw blued J frame with 5 shot fluted cylinder. Case color hardened hammer with checkering and case color hardened ribbed trigger. Stampings on barrel include "SMITH & WESSON" on left side and "38 S.W. SPL." on right side. Left side of frame has the SW trade mark while the right side has "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.". Checkered wood stocks with SW monogram on both sides.
