Fine Colt Police Positive double action revolver with box. Made 1922. Standard markings on the left side of the barrel, with the standard two line company address and patent dates on the top. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round, steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original checkered hard rubber grips. Includes an original brown flat-board box with papers. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with some very light edge wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean and crisp. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Very light drag line on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box is poor, with heavy wear and duck tape holding the flap on.
