German 4-barreled Vierling combination gun made in Suhl, Germany by "Waffen Schmidt" in 1942. Krupp Laufstahl barrels with raised matted rib, ramped front blade sight, and ramped quarter rib with flip-down rifle sight and set up for scope mounting. Barrels are chambered with 2 side by side 20 gauge shotgun barrels with a .22 LR barrel above, and a 6.5 X 58R Sauer barrel underneath. Barrels are engraved at breech with Oakleaf pattern. Gun has Dural sidelock fully engraved frame with Oakleaf pattern, side clips, and Kersten style locking system with safety lever on left sideplate, marked "SICHER", and top tang selector marked "S" for "SCHROT" and "K" for "KUGEL". Action has double triggers with first being a set trigger and action has blued Oakleaf pattern engraved bow and lever in front for barrel selection on rifle calibers. Bottom of frame marked "WAFFEN-SCHMIDT-SUHL". European walnut stock with diamond ebony inlays behind locks, unique checkered carved pistol grip, and chain carving pattern around butt, cheekpiece, and recoil pad with hinge covering bullet trap. Walnut splinter forearm with diamond inlay and latch release. Comes with German-style sling swivels. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue with some light edge wear and handling marks. Action deep grey color with sharp engraving. Wood has been cleaned with added Pachmayer vented recoil pad. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
