Lot consists of (A) Police Positive Special manufactured by Colt in 1966. Left side of barrel bears stampings stipulating the model and caliber, with the right side bearing Colt's single line address. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blue finish, 4" barrel, frame notched rear sight, ramp front sight, serrated trigger, and 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Accompanied by a proper factory cardboard box. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of its original factory blue finish overall. Cylinder bears a light dragline. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Box shows some mild external wear, but is otherwise fine. (B) Detective Special manufactured by Colt in 1966. Left side of barrel bears stampings stipulating the model and caliber with Colt's 2-line address on the right side. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blue finish, 2" barrel, frame notched rear sight, ramp front sight, and 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Accompanied by a matching factory box that is hand-scribed on the bottom. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all its original factory blue finish. Cylinder bears a light dragline. Grips are excellent. Box shows some handling marks and mild wear from storage and handling. MLW
