Marlin Model 1893 Special Order lever action rifle made by the Marlin Firearms Company, New Haven, Connecticut in 1893. Blued 26" special order full matted top octagon barrel with Marlin address, caliber marking "38-55" with blade front sight and rear 3-leaf flip notch rear sight. Gun also comes with blued half magazine. Case hardened action marked "Marlin Safety" on top with plain trigger and case hardened lever and hammer. Checkered fancy grained walnut pistol grip stock with smooth steel shotgun type butt and checkered fancy grained forearm. Factory research verifies all options except matting, shotgun butt, and sights, which all appear to be factory. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with light edgewear. 90% vivid case colors with some light plum freckling. 90% original varnish with some light scratches and dings. Excellent bore and mechanics.
