Rare Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 bolt action magazine rifle in rare .300 Winchester Magnum made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1963 with approximately 4,900 made. Blued standard weight Winchester Proof Steel barrel with hooded ramp front sight with rear barrel boss with Lyman 66 flip-down sight with Winchester address and "MODEL 70- 300 WIN MAGNUM" caliber marking. Matted finish action factory drilled for scope mounting with plugged holes. Matching serial numbered bolt with "572062" electropenciled on bolt body with 3-position safety and hollow bolt handle. Walnut Monte Carlo machine checkered stock with factory Winchester vented recoil pad and blued quick detachable floorplate. Studs for sling swivels with original bow type replaced. CONDITION: 95% original blue with light edge wear. 95% action finish with only light wear on bolt handle and small marks from scope mounts. 95% original varnish with a few minor handling marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. Gun appears to have been fired and used extremely little and could use a box! DLM
