BSA bolt action factory test rifle. Made circa 1920s-30s, this looks to be some kind of experimental/test rifle. Receiver and bolt are uniquely designed to have 2 sets of locking lugs. The receiver is marked the the BSA stacked rifle logo, over "BSA". Barrel is marked "Special B.S.A. Barrel/Specification 1929/Weight under 3 lbs. 4oz.". Nitro proofs on the barrel with additional proofs on the receiver. Barrel has a unique front sight collar/sight block. No rear sight. Metal components are in the white. Wood stock has a light oil finish. Pistol grip was added, possibly at the factory. CONDITION: Metal has some areas of light brown patina. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
